WiredorTired.com is a place where users submit and vote on the topics of the day. This isn't meant to be a popularity contest, per se, but ratings are based on how "Wired" or "Tired" a given topic is. For example, the topic "Michael Phelps" was very wired during the Olympics: people cared and were actively interested in learning more and following his story. On the other hand, the topic "Michael Phelps" was very tired 5 minutes after the Olympics. Note that these ratings wouldn't have to do with whether or not you like Michael Phelps, or what you think of him as a person. These ratings are indicative of how NOW the topic is.

To enhance the topic submitting process, users can upload custom avatars associated with the particular topic. Basic image manipulation tools (zooming and cropping) will be made available for users whose browsers support the technology.
